Lace glue is typically used by people who wear lace wigs as a way to achieve a more natural-looking hairline.
It is designed to be applied to the perimeter of the wig and allowed to dry for a few minutes before the wig is placed on the head. Once the glue is dry, it creates a strong and secure bond between the lace and the scalp, helping to keep the wig in place.
Ingredients:
Acrylate copolymer, Water, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Polydimethylsiloxane.
Check the ingredients list to ensure that the product does not contain harmful chemicals that could damage your hair or skin. Look for products that are free from toxic ingredients such as formaldehyde, alcohol, and ammonia.
Directions:
-
Cleanse and prepare the scalp: Thoroughly cleanse and dry your scalp to remove any oils or dirt that may prevent the glue from adhering properly. You can use a scalp cleanser or rubbing alcohol to clean the scalp.
-
Apply scalp protector (optional): Apply a scalp protector to prevent any irritation or damage to the skin.
-
Apply the glue: Shake the glue well before using. Apply a thin layer of lace glue to your hairline using a brush or applicator. Allow to dry clear before applying the next layer, apply 3-5 layers. Be sure to apply the glue evenly and avoid applying too much, as this can create a bulky appearance.
-
Wait for the glue to dry: Wait for the glue to dry until it becomes tacky. The glue should feel slightly sticky to the touch but not wet.
-
Apply the lace front wig: Carefully place the lace front wig onto your head, starting from the front and working your way back. Press the lace onto your scalp to ensure it adheres properly.
-
Secure the lace: Use a comb or brush to smooth the lace and make sure it's flat against your scalp. Allow it to set for 24 hours before getting wet. You can also use a scarf or lace band to hold the lace in place and secure it further.
-
Style the wig: Style your wig as desired, being careful not to pull on the lace or damage the bond.
- Remove the wig: To remove the wig, gently lift the lace off your scalp using a wig adhesive remover or rubbing alcohol.
